exc Help “MISSING CATEGORY DATA”

The Expensify Accounting Seed Connector uses the Categories setup for each Expense in Expensify to map to GL Accounts.

You are getting this error because Expenses have been found WITHOUT Categories.

You can configure Expensify so users MUST enter Categories and we recommend you do this by ticking “People must categorize expenses” in your EXPENSIFY Policy.

To fix this you need to add Categories to the listed Expenses. You can do this by:

  • Updating the data in Expensify and then redownloading the Expensify Reports and re-processing the report.
  • Updating the Expensify Expense data in Salesforce and re-processing the report.
